The Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development is inviting applications from 300 unemployed graduates for volunteer placements under the National Apprenticeship Programme. The initiative is intended to help recent graduates gain practical workplace experience, improve their employability and build professional networks. Successful applicants may be placed in participating public or private institutions, where they will gain exposure to professional working environments while contributing to organisational and national development activities.

- Are Ugandan graduates between 18 and 35 years of age.
- Completed their studies in 2021 or later.
- Are currently unemployed and need practical workplace exposure.

Eligibility requirements
Applicants must:
- Hold at least a certificate, diploma, honours bachelor’s degree, master’s degree or equivalent qualification from a recognised institution.
- Have completed their qualification within the last five years, from 2021 to date.
- Be between 18 and 35 years old when submitting the application.
- Possess good written and verbal communication skills.
- Be able to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Demonstrate integrity, accountability and ethical conduct.
- Show willingness to learn and adapt to professional working environments.
- Have basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Familiarity with Google Workspace, Zoom, Microsoft Teams or similar digital collaboration platforms will be an added advantage.
