Key responsibilities
Research and analyse economic issues supporting fiscal and monetary policy management.
Conduct surveys, collect data, and prepare in-depth analysis of development public interventions.
Analyse data using mathematical models and statistical techniques.
Prepare reports, tables, and charts that present research results.
Interpret and forecast market trends.
Conduct feasibility studies, determine project viability, and set project priorities.
Identify, prepare, and evaluate development projects and programmes and monitor implementation.
Advise Division Council, businesses, and individuals on economic topics.
Provide technical support in designing policies or making recommendations for solving economic problems within the Division.
Provide technical support and guidance to project teams to increase the technical rigour of project deliverables.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified Ugandans to fill the under listed vacant posts that exist in Mbarara City Council. Applications to be submitted in triplicate on PSF 3 Revised 2008 to the Secretary City Service Commission, P. O. Box 290, Mbarara Plot No.13A Mutl Drive.

Certified copies of all Academic qualifications, certificates, proof of experience attained, Professional licenses (where applicable), National Identity Card, Identity cards of schools and institutions attended, CV,3 recent passport size photographs and any other relevant documents deemed necessary must be attached.
