Key responsibilities
Prepare schemes of work/lesson plans and teach students according to the timetable.
Lead overall administration and management of the school.
Plan, organise, direct, and coordinate teaching programmes and activities of staff and students.
Ensure proper planning, budgeting, and accountability of school activities/resources with the management committee.
Coordinate management committee functions and account to them and the Ministry of Education and Sports.
Initiate development projects for the school and mobilise resources for implementation.
Plan for physical development of the school and professional development of staff.
Supervise and appraise all staff and employees, assessing performance.
Prepare progress and summary reports for the Board of Governors and the Ministry of Education and Sports.
Establish and maintain relationships with other educational institutions.
Direct activities concerning student admissions, provision of supplies, and welfare services.
Participate in implementing education sector reforms related to primary education.
Plan and chair meetings at the school.
Perform any other duties related to the profession.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified Ugandans to fill the under listed vacant posts that exist in Mbarara City Council. Applications to be submitted in triplicate on PSF 3 Revised 2008 to the Secretary City Service Commission, P. O. Box 290, Mbarara Plot No.13A Mutl Drive.

Certified copies of all Academic qualifications, certificates, proof of experience attained, Professional licenses (where applicable), National Identity Card, Identity cards of schools and institutions attended, CV,3 recent passport size photographs and any other relevant documents deemed necessary must be attached.
