About the Role
DFCU Bank is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Manager – Asset Finance to join its Vehicle & Asset Finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the growth, quality, and profitability of the bank’s vehicle and asset finance portfolio. This role is key in promoting asset finance solutions, managing relationships, and supporting both Corporate & Institutional Banking and Retail segments.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Drive the growth and profitability of the asset finance portfolio across all business segments.
Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships to enhance customer satisfaction, increase utilization, and reduce complaints and churn.
Monitor and manage portfolio quality by reducing non-performing accounts, loan downgrades, and provisioning.
Serve as the primary point of contact for all asset finance-related engagements, coordinating with internal stakeholders and relationship managers.
Collaborate with the marketing team to design and execute annual asset finance campaigns.
Continuously review and improve asset finance processes, policies, and customer service delivery.
Conduct client visits and courtesy calls, offering advisory services to improve portfolio performance.
Analyze customer data to identify opportunities for cross-selling or up-selling asset finance products.
Manage and grow the asset finance sales pipeline across all customer segments.
Stay updated on product innovations, regulatory changes, and industry trends affecting asset finance.
Recommend tailored financial solutions based on customer needs and data insights.
Support marketing activations and sales campaigns to increase product uptake.
Build and maintain strong relationships with dealerships and strategic partners.
Participate in compliance and portfolio review meetings, assisting with the resolution of non-performing loan accounts (VAF-related).
Generate regular portfolio performance reports and track business development activities.
Lead training sessions for internal teams (business, credit, risk, marketing) to promote better understanding and management of asset finance products.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field.
Professional certifications in banking or finance are an added advantage.
Minimum 3 years of experience in asset finance or related financial services.
Strong relationship management and customer service skills.
Solid understanding of credit analysis, risk management, and compliance.
Proficient in reading and interpreting financial statements (P&L, balance sheets).
Advanced computer skills, especially in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision and under pressure.
Deep understanding of banking products and the vehicle & asset finance market.
Well-groomed, professional, self-motivated, and committed to delivering results.
