Jobspace Uganda Vacancy Summary

DHL Uganda is seeking a Business Analyst to turn operational data and stakeholder requirements into practical warehouse and transport improvements. The position combines performance reporting, dashboard development, process analysis, forecasting, costing and solution implementation. It suits an analytical professional who can work across operations, technology and management teams.

Why This Role Matters

This role requires applicants to connect numbers with operational action. The strongest CVs will not simply list Power BI or Excel; they will explain how analysis exposed a bottleneck, supported a forecast or improved a process. Where possible, include a measurable result and clarify your part in gathering requirements, validating data and testing the solution.

Who Should Consider Applying?

  • Business analysts with logistics, warehouse or transport exposure.
  • Engineers who have moved into operational analysis and improvement.
  • Power BI and Excel users capable of presenting clear management information.
  • Candidates experienced in requirements gathering, costing or solution implementation.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Analyse warehouse and transport data and identify meaningful performance trends.
  • Build dashboards and monitor agreed operational indicators.
  • Gather stakeholder requirements and translate them into workable process or system improvements.
  • Support forecasting, costing and logistics-solution design.
  • Participate in implementation, testing and measurement of improvement projects.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Engineering degree, preferably plant, electrical or mechanical engineering.
  • At least three years in business analysis, preferably in warehousing or transport logistics.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office and Power BI skills.
  • Familiarity with warehouse and transport systems.
  • Logistics experience is advantageous, and a master’s degree is listed as a plus.

How to Make Your Application Competitive

  • Describe the business problem, analysis and result for two relevant projects.
  • Name dashboards or KPIs you built and the decisions they supported.
  • Mention warehouse or transport systems you have used.
  • Remove confidential data from any portfolio or sample shared.

Questions to Prepare for Before an Interview

  • How do you confirm that operational data is reliable before analysing it?
  • Describe a requirement that changed after stakeholder consultation.
  • How would you measure whether a logistics improvement delivered value?
