Three paediatric-cardiology specialists are sought to provide diagnosis, treatment and continuing care for children with cardiovascular conditions. The role combines direct specialist practice with supervision, training, planning and stewardship of clinical resources.
Who should apply?
- Are qualified doctors with specialist paediatrics and child-health training.
- Have completed fellowship or master's-level training in paediatric cardiology.
- Hold current professional registration and a practising licence.
- Have at least three years of experience at Medical Officer level.
- Can supervise clinicians and contribute to service planning and training.
Key responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat cardiovascular conditions affecting children.
- Implement patient-care plans and conduct specialist ward rounds.
- Train and supervise medical officers, interns and other trainees.
- Contribute to departmental plans, budgets, reports, rosters and procurement needs.
Qualifications and experience
- MBChB or equivalent from a recognised institution.
- Master of Medicine in Paediatrics and Child Health or equivalent.
- Fellowship or master's qualification in Paediatric Cardiology.
- Registration with the Uganda Medical and Dental Practitioners Council and a valid practising licence.
- At least three years' experience at Medical Officer level.
