Network and Security Officer

Job Purpose
The Network and Security Officer is responsible for ensuring the stability, integrity, and security of VisionFund Uganda’s ICT infrastructure. The role includes maintaining network systems, securing digital assets, monitoring cyber threats, managing ICT security tools, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. The officer supports business operations by providing reliable, secure, and efficient ICT services across all branches.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
Minimum 3 years of experience in IT networking and security
Strong network configuration & troubleshooting skills
Professional certifications (CCNA Routing & Switching CCNA Security, Cloud Computing, Windows
Infrastructure Management) are an added advantage
Expertise in firewalls, VPN, and intrusion detection/prevention
Analytical thinker with excellent problem-solving capabilities
