Key responsibilities
Plan, develop, and review the annual Physical Planning Business Plan, set benchmarks, and report performance to management.
Plan and design the City physical infrastructure including zoning, land subdivision, and development areas.
Plan, conduct, survey, and map-including delineating areas for infrastructure, establishing geodetic control, quality checking cadastral work, and surveying city land boundaries for topographical mapping.
Plan and monitor surveying, valuation, registration, and administration of land plus resolve land disputes in the City.
Plan and guide all developments on the ground in the City according to law, regulations, and guidelines.
Develop and implement City planning regulations and standards aligned to City objectives and national/regional/international standards.
Initiate legal action against unauthorised development to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
Initiate, review, and provide technical advice on implementation of the City Physical Plan in line with its objectives.
Supervise and appraise performance and development of directly supervised staff per HR policy and guidelines.
