Our payments and on-demand services empower our users to transfer money, pay bills, and deliver packages instantly from the comfort of their homes.
Operational in Uganda and Kenya, we are a venture-funded Series B company that is already having a huge impact on millions of people in Africa. Our backers include Google, Unbound, GoVentures (GoJek’s VC), AllianzX, Yamaha, and Beenext, among others. We have a passionate and highly engaged team of superstars based in East Africa. Together, we aim to revolutionise transport and payments delivery in Africa’s cities.
Position Summary:
As a Product Management Associate, you will be responsible for the continuous discovery of customer desires, needs, pain points and business needs. We know we can’t count on our customers (or our executives or stakeholders) to tell us what to build. It will be your role to proactively collect this feedback through organizing focus groups, surveys, and feedback phone calls with all the SafeBoda customers - passengers, drivers, business and agents. In addition, you will use the product analytics tools to collect insights into how our customers are using the SafeBoda products.
Essential Duties: (Roles and responsibilities)
- Facilitate user interviews, market and competitor research to inform product direction
- Conduct conscience tests to uncover unsaid customer needs.
- Translate CSAT and NPS feedback into feature requests
- Work with the team to test solutions and assumptions for the discovered needs before the actual development.
- Track post-release performance and identify any bugs or improvement areas
- Analyzing data to help product management make better-informed decisions
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills Required
- Focused on building businesses, not simply features. Entrepreneurial experience building and leading businesses, including management and optimization of business performance metrics.
- You are excited to become a master of our product and have great knowledge of our market, customers and competition.
- Be emotionally intelligent, humble, and excited to work within a team with a diverse set of experiences, backgrounds, and skills.
- Possess strong data analysis skills. Be comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders.
- Exhibit the ability to navigate ambiguity, juggle multiple tasks, think independently, and problem-solve like a boss.
- Passionate about both discovery and delivery. You should be able to design and manage experiments.
- Strong undergraduate degree (or higher) with demonstrated strong academic performance.
- Excitement for SafeBoda and what we are trying to achieve.
