Job Details:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the sales office team and ensuring achievement of sales targets.
  • Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands Uganda Airlines’ customer base and ensure its strong presence in the market.
  • Supervise the day to day sales actions and ensure outstanding customer service to all airline clients.
  • Assist in the selection, recruitment, objectives setting, coaching and performance monitoring of sales representatives and staff.
  • Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships with walk-in customers, corporate clients, travel agencies, tour operators etc by partnering with them and understanding their needs.
  • Report on sales targets, present revenue and expense reports and realistic forecasts to the management team
  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status
  • Work with other members of the team to initiates and execute sales promotion activities aimed at gaining market share and increasing revenue
  • Run a professional and efficient sales office leveraging on technology enhancements in the industry
  • Be the champion and face of the airline, representing the company as required.

Minimum Qualification and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field.
  • Experience as a sales representative, Airlines sales office/ Call center management experience or sales Manager in a Travel or Hospitality Industry is desired.
  • Committed to continuous education through workshops, seminars and conferences
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.
  • Strong business sense and industry expertise.
  • Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills.
