Job Description
Lead the portfolio management function for BCB, focussing on reporting, monitoring and management of BCB portfolios and various credit insights and analytics.
- Collections strategy management – Jointly define the collections strategies for the scored lending portfolio (to be operationalised by the R&R teams), responsibility for resolution of various issues impacting ageing of the book and adjustment of collections strategy to meet targeted risk parameters.
- Credit digitization and re-engineering – Provide input to, support and drive the implementation of strategic initiatives and tactical solutions across the credit lifecycle to drive continuous improvement of procedures, processes, and systems. These may include development of new solutions, automation of bespoke reports and development of bots to support routine repeat tasks.
- Lending strategy scenario planning and deployment support – support various aspects of deployment of scored lending products including proposing lending parameters, expert input on product papers, ensuring adherence to credit governance requirements and go live testing.
- Originations and account management strategy – review accuracy of and sign off application and behavioural scorecards prior to implementation, monitor the implementation of scorecards, and present refinements/ new scorecards for approval at the Credit Risk Management Committee (CRMC).
- Together with the Head of BCB Credit, Maintain Credit Loss Ratio, NPL% and impairment for the Scored Lending portfolio within budget. Support Business in increasing the uptake of prescored lending.
- Build and maintain credible relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including management, internal and external audit, non-executives as well as peers within the industry.
Qualifications
- First Degree in Business Studies or Statistics, Computing – Data Science or Economics or Mathematical Sciences form a recognised institution.
- 7-10 years proven experience in Credit Evaluation, Portfolio Management, and data analytics
- Experience in leading, integrating and delivering client solutions through multi-disciplinary teams.
