Job Details:

General Summary
The TB/HIV Officer is responsible for comprehensive planning, management, and coordination of TB/HIV diagnosis, TB treatment, TB Prevention Therapy (TPT), and Infection Prevention and Control (TB-IPC) activities. This role includes supporting documentation and reporting across all supported facilities in the cluster.

Key Responsibilities
1. Coordinate and facilitate supportive supervision and mentoring for community-based and facility-based Health Care Workers in the day-to-day implementation of TB/HIV collaborative activities.
2. Support an effective referral system for tuberculosis and HIV patients, ensuring the seamless integration of TB and HIV services within the district.
3. Document, gather, and analyze records of TB/HIV collaborative activities at supported facilities, including case-based information in electronic format.
4. Collaborate with the National TB and Leprosy Program (NTLP), WHO, NGO partners, and other stakeholders to identify program priorities, develop strategies, and coordinate the implementation of MDR-TB activities.
5. Participate in local TB/HIV forums and provide necessary updates as required.
6. Work closely with regional and district TB coordinators, HIV focal persons, and Facility in charges to provide regular updates to stakeholders on the implementation of TB/HIV collaborative activities.
7. Provide technical support to the NTLP and sub-recipient NGO partners in planning and implementing MDR-TB activities.
8. Actively participate in workshops, seminars, task forces, and expert committees to identify gaps in MDR-TB diagnosis and treatment, and Infection Control. Provide updates to partners and stakeholders on TB care activities.
9. Provide technical support in developing systems, tools, job aids, and Information Education and Communication (IEC) materials to enhance the diagnosis and treatment of TB/MDR-TB, infection prevention, monitoring, and supervision.
10. Monitor the implementation of planned activities through periodic consultations, monthly progress review meetings, reports review, and field trips. Provide written feedback for performance improvement to IDI
11. Monitor project deliverables, timeliness, and promptly notify the Team Leader of arising issues, taking corrective actions as needed.
